I present to you, the photo geeks. Though, I think I am the geekiest here. Awesome to shoot with you, Dave of DCM Photography. Beautiful wedding Saturday – I got to shoot second with Dave for Autumn and Zach’s wedding. It was a gorgeous day, and they couldn’t have been cuter and more sweetly in love. Thanks for letting me tag along, Dave. It’s so fun to make new friends!
Meet Lori and Alex. I am so excited to know these two. I’m not sure I’m allowed to tell the story of how they met, but it’s just so romantic and cute I have to tell a little. Short version – He was working in a grocery store and she was one of his frequent customers. Now they’re getting married! OMG, so cute! I’m trying to talk them into doing a couple’s boudoir session. Don’t you think they’d be perfect? Can’t wait for the wedding in October!
Everytime I set up my lights and backdrop for a studio shoot, I need a stand-in before the client arrives. I like to have everything dialed in before they get there. If no one is around, I’ll just use a prop. But it’s always better when a warm body is around to help me.
“Oh alright, mom. I’ll help you get the lighting adjusted. I’ll need that flower and those beads. Sigh.”
This past weekend, I took my daughter out for a day of trash pickin’ and basketball learnin’. We got to spend some time with some of the Austin Toros and help clean up a nearby rec center. Afterwards, the Toros offered a basket ball clinic, something my daughter has been wanting to work on. We have a hoop at home and she’s forever wanting to master the swoosh. Who better to teach her than members of our local basketball team?! She had a great time and while picking up trash from the grounds of the rec center, she turned and said to me, “I feel really good about what we are doing here.” Um, hello! Proud over here! She’s such a good little soul. Here are some pictures from the day.
I love this weather. I mostly love that the mosquitos aren’t out, yet and we can be outside for extended periods of time without getting all itchy and bitten.
