I’ve been wanting to share this picture for a while. This was back in March of this year when my baby boy was just five months old. He and sissie were making faces at each other. I’ll title this one, “I think I smell somethin.”

Here’s a little peek at our trip to the beach this summer. We went to Galveston to spend the week with Bill’s mom and brothers and their families. It was hot, humid and sandy. The sand stuck to the car all the way back home to Austin. But, we had a great time seeing everyone, playing bingo, making sandmud castles, getting tan and burned, and splashing in the water. The week was not without jellyfish incidents. One got Bill and another got my oldest all up and down her right leg. She didn’t panic, but held on like the future marine biologist she is. Brave girl. I would have screamed and gone back home that very day. Will I do it again? Sure! But, I wonder, what would a vacation on the Comal river instead be like? Tubing next summer, anyone?

I’m a terrible blogger. I’m in the middle of getting life back to normal after having a baby. He’s perfect in almost every way with the exception of the gallons of spit up that constantly pour out of him. I’ve never done so much laundry in my life. Piling laundry, dirty or clean can make a mind feel as such. Lack of sleep can also make you feel like a pile of crumpled laundry. Nevertheless, moments of clarity peek their way in and life is slowly returning to a workable pace. As I get back into it, I think of things I should be doing, like blogging, tweeting and connecting with friends face to face and not just online. It’s happening – slowly. I have almost a year’s worth of pictures to post here – weddings, portraits and pin-ups to name a few. I’m sorry clients of 2009! I was a wimpy pregnant girl. I’m feeling stronger day by day, though and wanted to post just a little something.
Have a wonderful 2010! It’s a nice round number. I like those.

I love the vertical flower picture. It is amazing! Congrats on the beautiful baby.
Yesterday, I had the pleasure of hanging out with Amanda of Big Day Event Productions at Phil’s Icehouse. Afterwards, we ventured over to Amy’s Ice Creams headquarters to get a glimpse of the chocolate strawberry elves in action. Imagine walking into a warehouse filled to the brim with strawberries and chocolate in various states of blissful candying. Ah, the aroma. There were about oh, I don’t know 50 or so people in there cutting, dipping, stirring, inspecting and decorating all in the name of the ultimate statement of LOVE - Amy’s chocolate covered strawberries. That’s right. I said it. I was so excited that I left there amazed and forgot to get my own dozen. Luckily, the sweet man in my life picked me up some on his way home from work today. Ahhhhh!
